We see that the 'prestigious New York based Jewish Foundation has given an award to the Spanish Premier Jose Maria Aznar for his ' brave leadership in favour of democracy, tolerance and freedom'.

Obviously, the foundation's president, Rabbi Arthur Schenider has no clue as to what is happening in this part of the world. Neither does he appear to have any knowledge of the infamous clause in the Treaty of Utrecht nor of Spanish pressure on Israel to stop one of its Ministers from coming to Gibraltar a while back.

Perhaps some of the Group's fellow Gibraltarians in the local Jewish Community might want to take the matter up directly with the aforementioned Rabbi.
