Members of the VOGG will again be present outside the court on Monday 22nd September in protest against presence of the Spanish media circus.

The case against the Greenpeace activists and the Spanish journalists begins at 11am.

The Group has been advised that there may be a counter protest by groups linked to environmentalists in Spain, however we will not be intimidated in any way. We have every confidence in the Royal Gibraltar Police to ensure that the event will not see a repetition of the ugly scenes experienced during the fishing dispute.

It is an insult to the judicial system to suggest that politicians, the British authorities or anyone has any effect or control on the outcome, and the Spanish press will get a practical demonstration that Gibraltar has its own fair and unbiased legal system, whether their state admits it exists or not.
